Kushta, 1549. First edition. Rare! Sefer Michlal Yofi, explanations of difficult words and matters in the Tanach, by Rabbi Shlomo Even Melach. Printed by Moshe ben Elazar of the House of Prans, the physician, Kushta, 1549. First and rare edition. The first and last leaves were lacking and were completed in a fine handwritten replacement. At the bottom of the title page, [13] handwritten lines were added, offering a mystical explanation regarding the rectification of sin and the clarification of impurities through Dinah, Iyov, and Avraham. [192] leaves. [3] initial leaves and [3] final leaves lacking and supplemented in attractive Sephardic script. Original decorated and worn leather binding. Stains, including remnants of mold, wormholes, repairs reinforcing damaged leaf edges, and in a few leaves, added handwritten words on pasted repairs that obscure text. Fair–good condition.
