Ben Avraham – Beit Hasafek. Livorno, 1882. Single Edition - Sefer Ben Avraham – Chelek Beit HaSafek, dealing with matters of halachic doubts, by Rabbi Avraham ben Moshe Abucara – Livorno, 1882. Ben Avraham – Chelek Beit HaSafek, a work built upon the Siftei Kohen (Shach on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De’ah), by Rabbi Avraham ben Moshe Abucara, rabbi, dayan, and Kabbalist, one of the leading halachic authorities of Tunisian Jewry. The Sefer was prepared by Rabbi Avraham but was printed about two years after his passing by Rabbi Yaakov Abucara, a relative of Rabbi Avraham. At the end is appended “Issur VeHeter LeRabbeinu Yerucham, ” with a separate title page, whose manuscript was in the estate of Rabbi Avraham Abucara. Printed in the same press and in the same year by the above publisher. Ownership stamps of Rabbi Avraham Chaim Dov Shkall, one of the sages of the Meah Shearim Yeshivah, mechutan of the righteous Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Charlap, whose son-in-law was the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Zevulun Charlap, one of the rabbis of Eretz Yisrael. In addition, a handwritten notation is difficult to decipher on one of the stamps. [3], 72, [1], 7 leaves. Leaves slightly dry, some detached, slight worm damage, old binding slightly damaged.
