Magen Avraham – Trisk. Warsaw, 1903 - Tried and true Segulah Sefer: Magen Avraham by the holy Maggid of Trisk. Warsaw, 1903, which was an exact copy of the first edition of Lublin, 1887. The Segulah inherent in owning the Sefer is known, based on the words of the author in his preface. He writes there that as he had reached the age of 80, he now uses the power of the blessing which Hashem had given to “Avraham” when he was elderly: הנני מברך את כל אשר יקח את הספר הזה כי יתמשכו עליו חסדים רבים ואלוקי אברהם יהיה בעזרכם למלאת כל משאלותיכם, בנים ובני בנים שתולים סביב לשולחנכם. It is told in the name of the Sfas Emes of Ger, that he said that it is imperative for every young man, in the first year after his marriage, toe pawn his Tallis and Tefillin in order to purchase this holy Sefer. Due to the Sfas Emes’s words, this special photostat edition was produced, an exact copy of the original first edition, thus its importance and value. 47, 36, 114 pp. Two title pages. On the ending pages is a damage to the top edges with a tiny damage to the page numbers. Dark paper. Later, complete cover. Good-almost very good condition.
