A signed exampler of Rabbi Eliyahu Tzarfati, disciple of the Or HaChaim HaKadosh. [200] leaves. Title page missing. On leaf 2 appears the autograph of Rabbi Eliyahu Tzarfati, along with handwritten glosses and additional ownership signatures. Rabbi Eliyahu ben Yosef Tzarfati (1715–1805) – disciple of the Or HaChaim HaKadosh and ordained by the Av Beit Din of Fez, Rabbi Yaakov Ibn Tzur, the Yaavetz. Served as Rav and Av Beit Din in the city of Fez, where he taught many disciples, signed hundreds of piskei din, and composed hundreds of sermons and numerous Sefarim, many of which remain in manuscript. The Chida mentions him in Shem HaGedolim as a great Torah scholar from a distinguished family. Rebound in new half-leather binding. Without title page. Stains. Repaired leaves at beginning and end, some with text loss. Overall good to fair condition.
