The title page and leaves 4–5 are lacking. On leaf 251: a scholarly marginal note, [15] lines long. On the final page appears a handwritten list containing the names of [7] children born to the Marcarea family of Ferrara over two generations, between the years 1553–1587: David, Dina, and Sharlina [children of Rabbi Yaakov Marcarea]; Shimon, Sarah, Avraham, and Shmuel [children of Rabbi David Marcarea]. Besides the names of the sons appear details of the Baalei Habrit and Mohalim, including Rabbi Chizkiyah Finzi of Ariyo. Rabbi Yaakov Marcarea, the physician (son of Rabbi David) – member of the rabbinical court of Rabbi Yosef Ottolenghi. He published the Piskei HaMordechai in Riva di Trento with glosses and corrections in 1559; authored a Likrat To’alot to the RaLBaD; Kitzur Mizrachi; Dikdukei D’Sh”i published in 1560; and Sefer Shem published in 1561. Rabbi David (son of Rabbi Yaakov) Marcarea – established in 1605 a Beit Midrash in the city of Conegliano in the Province of Venice, together with Rabbi Yisrael Conian. The Gaon Rabbi Chizkiyah son of Rabbi Binyamin Finzi (d. 1623) – Av Beit Din of Ferrara and an expert Mohel. He was a leading authority permitting the mikveh in Vigo and is cited in responsa literature. His disciple, Rabbi Yehudah Modena, wrote of him: 'גאון ישראל אשר אהב צדקה וחסד, אלופי ומורי הגאון האלוף כמוהר”ר האשל הגדול' Elegant, renewed leather binding, title page, and [2] additional leaves lacking, worming, stains, and repairs, fair condition.
