Holy signature of the Rebbe, the holy Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai of Rahmestivka, in his early years, on the receipt of charity funds and support for Talmidei Chachamim and Tzaddikim of Kollel Volhynia. Jerusalem, 1967. - Holy signature of the Rebbe, the holy Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai of Rahmestivka, in his early years, on the receipt of charity funds for the support of Talmidei Chachamim and Tzaddikim of Kollel Volhynia. Jerusalem, 1967. On every side of the receipt appears his holy handwritten signature. On this receipt, written by the administrator and Gabbai of the Kollel and signed in the holy handwriting of the Rebbe, Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai Twersky of Rahmestivka, in the years prior to his leadership, is recorded the substantial sum received from Kollel Volhynia. On the reverse is written the precise distribution of the funds to the Tzaddikim of the exalted and noble Twersky family: the holy Rebbe Rabbi Yochanan and his righteous sons who lived in Jerusalem — the Rebbe Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai (the recipient of this document), Harav HaTzaddik Rabbi Nachum, Harav HaTzaddik Rabbi Ze’ev, and Harav HaTzaddik Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel. All were sons of the holy Rebbe Rabbi Yochanan — men of towering stature, Tzaddikim of great humility, filled with charm and fear of Heaven. The holy Rebbe Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai of Rahmestivka (1929–2004), son of the holy Rebbe Rabbi Yochanan — an extraordinary Masmid from his youth in the Yeshivot Chayei Olam and Sfas Emes. Known as holy and removed from worldly matters, filled with humility and pleasantness. His court drew many from Jerusalem and beyond. A pillar of prayer and a beloved figure to all of Israel.
