[1] leaf, containing a prayer to be recited before learning Torah in the Land of Israel for the merit of the supporters of Torah, and a prayer after learning, composed by the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Gutmacher while serving as Av Beis Din and Rosh Metivta in Greiditz. With source references from the holy Zohar. The Gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Eliyahu Gutmacher of Greiditz (1796–1874) — disciple of Rabbi Akiva Eiger, Gaon in the revealed and hidden Torah — served from 1822 as Av Beis Din of Pleshen, where he established a large Yeshiva. From 1839, he served as Av Beis Din of Greiditz, where multitudes sought his counsel and blessing, requesting healing and salvation.
