With the stamp and signature of Rabbi Elazar Weissblum of Șimleu, and the signature 'ט. עהרנרייך' The Holy Rabbi Yehoshua Horowitz, Av Beit Din and Admor of Dzikov (1842–1912), author of Ateret Yeshuah on the Torah and Moadim, Emek Halachah on Sugyot of Shas, and the Kuntreisim Kedushah Meshuleshet, Tosefet Mitzvah, and Derech Melachim. Already in childhood, he was recognized as a sharp and brilliant prodigy, with extraordinary memory and diligence. Even during the lifetime of his father, the Admor Rabbi Meir, Rabbi Yehoshua began serving as Av Beit Din of Dzikov. From 1877 he succeeded his father as Admor. He became renowned as a leader, a Tzaddik, a great Torah scholar, and a composer of many melodies. His son, the Holy Rabbi Alter Yechezkel Eliyahu, HY”D, succeeded him and was murdered in the Holocaust. Half-leather binding, stains, worming, fair–good condition.
