Within it are terrifying descriptions of poverty, persecution and hunger, danger to life and fear of the authorities, and yet immense self-sacrifice, devotion and a sense of mission. The letter is signed in a form resembling the signature of the Rayatz; however, it is neither his handwriting nor his signature.
