Content of letter: In the letter, the father takes interest in his son's well-being, sends regards to his sister Sulika from his sister Ester as well, writes about his visit to Rabbi Yitzchak Alafia, about matters of Shiduchin, a day of Ta'anis Dibur, health matters and more. Rabbi Yitzchak ben Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Alafia (1878-1955) one of the greatest Kabbalists of Jerusalem. Was born in Haleb, Syria to his father Rabbi Yaakov Chaim Alafia. In his youth immigrated to Jerusalem, where he acted for reviving the custom of Ta'anis Dibur. In 1909, he was one of the founders of the Or Chadash VeTzemach Tzaddik company at the synagogue of the Misgav Ladach hospital, which was designated to organize regular societies to pray and study. Rabbi Shlomo ben Rabbi Eliezer Berdugo, a member of a pedigreed family of rabbis from Meknes, was a Talmid Chacham who was involved in public activity and was an active member of the Or Chadash VeTzemach Tzaddik company. Immigrated to Jerusalem from Morocco and passed away in 1949. His son is the sage and Chazan Rabbi Meir Ben Zion Berdugo , one of the rabbis of the Ohel Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem. The Jewish Museum of Belgium owns two additional letters by Rabbi Shlomo Berdugo to his son from the years 1934-1937. Fold marks, minor aging stains, good-very good condition.
