Sefer Arvei Nachal on the Torah, Parts III–V: Vayikra–Devarim, by the holy Gaon, among the greatest Tzaddikei Chassidus of the early generations, Rabbi David Shlomo Eibeshitz. On the title page: “In Amsterdam type, year 1783.” [Krutchin?, c. 1850]. [1], 99–136; [1], 49; [1], 73 leaves. With ownership stamp “Ben Tzion Kohana” from “Vişeu de Sus [Vishava]”, and with stamps of “Beis HaMidrash of Harav R. Tzvi Hirsch Hager, shlit”a, Pechenizhin [Galicia], ” and signatures “Menachem Hager” [of Vishava?]. The holy Gaon Rabbi David Shlomo Eibeshitz (1755–1814) — among the greatest figures of Chassidus and among the greatest authorities in Halachah. He served as Av Beis Din of Soroka. In 1809 he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and settled in the holy city of Tzfas, where his resting place is honored. Harav HaKadosh of Berditchev said that he merited a revelation of Eliyahu and wrote about him in an approbation to his Sefer Levushei Serad: “Sharp and expert in the chambers of Torah like one of the earliest, and all his deeds were for the sake of Heaven.” He authored many works, including his renowned Halachic work Levushei Serad on Orach Chaim and Yoreh De’ah. His Arvei Nachal became one of the foundational Sefarim in the Torah of Chassidus; since its first printing, it has been reprinted in more than twenty editions. Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Hager, Av Beis Din of Pechenizhin (1825–1895) — son of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi David of Zablitov, and grandson of Harav HaKadosh Rabbi Menachem Mendel, the Ahavas Shalom of Kosiv. Half-leather binding. Light stains, slight worming, and small tears. Fair–good condition.
