Document of authorization signed by the great Geonim, the Rabbis of Tveriah, Rabbi Eliyahu Yluz and Rabbi Yaakov Ḥai Zerihan. 1920. Authorization document, written by a scribe in a handsome script, signed by the great Geonim Rabbi Eliyahu Yluz, the Av Beis Din of Tveriah, and the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Ḥai Zerihan, a Dayan and Moreh Tzedek, and future successor of Rabbi Yluz. In the document, the Rabbonim testify that Yaakov ben Masoud ben Tzadok Oḥaion gave Rabbi Yaakov Waknin authorization to appoint a Charity Collector for their Kollel in Tveriah. The 4th of Tevet, 5688 (Dec. 28, 1927). The two signed witnesses are Shmuel Asabag and Betzalel Malka, and the authorizer, Yaakov Oḥaion is signed as well.
