This booklet does not appear in the bibliography of the Hebrew book and is not in the National Library. Background : At the end of the 19th century, struggles erupted between the hospitals “Bikur Cholim” and “Mishgav LaDach, ” including claims of selective treatment based on the patient’s community and origin, and a fierce debate regarding methods of fundraising for the hospitals. The controversy continued for several years and produced publications containing sharp disparagements and accusations. In the detailed patient list in the present booklet, the community of each patient and their city of birth are recorded, allowing one to see the diversity of patients from the various communities.
