He was born in Prague. Until 1826, he served as Rosh Yeshivah in his birthplace, Prague. In the years 1826–1831, he served as Rabbi of Prostějov, and from 1831 he filled the rabbinate of Mahar”M Bennet in the rabbinate of Nikolsburg after his passing. He authored several compositions, among them: Shalom Yerushalayim on the Talmud Yerushalmi (in which he reconciles what appears as a contradiction between the Yerushalmi and the Bavli), and Kovetz Al Yad on the Rambam and the Shulchan Aruch, and Shu”t Rabbi Nachum Trebitsch (“Machon Yerushalayim, ” 1989). A few days before his passing, he came to visit Prague, his birthplace, and there he suddenly fell ill, returned his soul there, and was buried there. For his Sefer Shalom Yerushalayim he received an enthusiastic approbation from Maran the Chasam Sofer, and these are the words of the Chasam Sofer: חד מיחידי חכימי יהודאי... אשר ידיו רב לו בשני התלמודים בבלי וירושלמי, ומרוב יגיעתו בתורה עם תלמידים פעל ועשה, קבץ ורבץ, טרח ויגע לעשות שלום בין שני התלמודים במקום שנראה כחולקים זה על זה [1], 104 leaves.
