Rabbi David Yehuda Zilberstein (1889–1944) – son of the gaon of Weitzen, author of Ma’aseh LaMelech. Disciple of Rabbi Shaul Brach and Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler, the Levushai Mordechai. Already as a young man, in 1905, he published Yad David, which received glowing approbations. Served as rabbi in Halistava from 1915, and in 1928 became Dayan in Weitzen, assisting his father. After his father’s passing in 1930, he succeeded him as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva of Weitzen. Martyred in Auschwitz. Fold marks, stains. Good condition.
