The Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Rimalt (1852–1934) – son of the tzaddik of Chyrów, Rabbi Elimelech Shimon Rimalt, author of Duda’im on Shir HaShirim. Rabbi Pinchas studied under Rabbi Meshulam Yissachar HaLevi Ish Horowitz, Av Beit Din of Stanisławów, from whom he received Semicha. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Kuperberg, dayan of Stanisławów. Rabbi Pinchas served as rabbi in Stanisławów, in Sahliv, and from 1893 filled his father’s position as Av Beit Din of Chyrów. In 1905, he was appointed Av Beit Din of Zolkiew. At the outbreak of World War I, he fled to Vienna, where he lived for several years as a refugee. In 1930, he visited the United States, where he strengthened the community of Chyrów emigrants and presented them with a Sefer Torah. He corresponded in halacha with the great rabbis of his generation and is cited in their works. Folding marks, short tears along folds, stains, slight wear. Fair–good condition.
