Ownership inscriptions on the title page: “Chaim Zvi Tiflik”; on the rear flyleaf signed “Karnfeld Hillel from Pressburg.” On the front flyleaf, the stamp of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kahana, Moreh Tzedek and Rosh Metivta in the community of Humna. The holy Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kahana HY”D – Rosh Metivta and Moreh Tzedek in Humna, son of the holy Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Kahana of Spinka, son of the Orchot Chaim of Spinka. In 1922, he married Mrs. Hentshe Miriam, daughter of Rabbi Avraham Steiner, son of the holy Rabbi Yeshayale of Kerestir. The Rabbi, his wife, and their nine children were murdered al kiddush Hashem in the Chelmno camp in 1942, HY”D. Half-leather binding, damaged; repairs and edge wear to several opening and closing leaves; stains and worming; overall good–fair condition.
