Halachic Responsum in the Laws of Niddah, in the Autograph of the Renowned Gaon Rabbi Itzele of Ponovezh A large leaf from a responsum on the laws of Niddah. Printed in his Sefer Zikhron Yitzchak HaShalem (Jerusalem Institute, 1990). The renowned Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov Rabinowitz (1854–1919), was a disciple of the Beit HaLevi and the Gadol of Minsk. He studied for about two years in chavruta with Rabbi Chaim of Brisk. From 1889–1894 he stood at the head of the “Knesset Yisrael” Yeshiva in Slabodka, but resigned from his position due to his opposition to the Mussar movement. In 1895, he was appointed Av Beit Din of Ponovezh, and from 1909, he headed a “Kibbutz” of young Bachurim, where he disseminated his distinctive method of learning, renowned for its depth and precision. From among them emerged famous Torah giants and disseminators. Among his foremost disciples was the renowned Gaon Rabbi Naftali Trop (the Granat), Rosh Yeshiva of Radin. [1] leaf. 23 cm. Fold mark.
