On the back of the title page appears a list of ”Selichot” instituted to be recited in the Frankfurt community due to events unique to this community: ”Ta’anit Sereifa” (Fast of the Fire) from the year 5471 (1711) (following this fire, the city’s rabbi, the holy Gaon Rabbi Naftali Katz, author of ”Semichat Chachamim, ” was forced to flee), and ”Ta’anit Vinz” in memory of the expulsion of the city’s Jews in 5374 (1614).
