Never Before Printed According to Sefer HaGilyonos (published 5782 by Machon Zichron Aharon), which compiled known glosses of the Baruch Taam, the annotations in this volume do not appear there or in any other known source. This marks a remarkable discovery in the Torah world in general, and particularly for those who cherish the Torah of the Baruch Taam! The Boruch Taam’s Glosses on Ohel David – A Discovery! This sefer serves as a continuation and supplement to the Ohel David, Vienna (1819). The Baruch Taam’s well-known pilpul on the first volume of Ohel David is recorded in Baruch Taam, “Asei Docheh Lo Sa’aseh” (p. 17, Jerusalem edition, 5768): ”Later, I saw in Ohel David that he addresses the kashe of the Turei Even… but I rejected his words…” Now, we uncover a fascinating continuation of the Baruch Taam’s insights on Ohel David! Author’s Glosses – A Chiddush in the Name of the Maharam Ash Additionally, the sefer contains handwritten glosses from the author, Rav Dovid Deutch. In one place (15a), he references his son-in-law: ”…And my son-in-law, Harav M’ Meir, Ner Yair…” This refers to none other than the renowned Gaon, Rav Meir Eisenstadt, the Maharam Ash, Av Beis Din of Ungvar, zt”l.
