A Remarkable Letter from Maran R’ Shimon Shkop — Grodno, 1922 A warm and fascinating letter from the ksav yad of R’ Shimon Yehudah HaKohen Shkop, written to R’ Shlomo Carlebach, Av Beis Din of Lubeck, requesting assistance. In the letter, he recalls their earlier meeting at the simchah of R’ Yosef Persitz, together with gedolei hador, and speaks about his appointment as Rosh Yeshivah of Shaar HaTorah in Grodno.
