Pesach Haggadah “Be’er Mayim, ” Mezibuz 1758 – First Edition Be’er Mayim on the Haggadah Shel Pesach, by R’ Yosef Moshe ben R’ Elkana Shapiro of Zlotchov. Printed in Mezhibuzh, 1818 — first edition. The mechaber was a talmid muvhak of the Maggid of Zlotchov. The Haggadah before us is of the rarest of early Chassidic Haggados, and among the earliest Chassidic peirushim on the Haggadah to appear in print — later meriting numerous additional editions! Haskamos of Talmidei the Baal Shem Tov The sefer is adorned with haskamos from leading tzaddikim among the talmidim of the Baal Shem Tov: The Ohev Yisroel of Apta The Or LaChaim of Zlotchov R’ Tzvi Hirsch of Ziditchov and others, ZY”A. “A Berachah for the Purchasers of the Sefer” In his haskamah, the gaon R’ Ephraim Zalman Margolios of Brod, Baal Beis Ephraim, bestows a remarkable berachah upon those who acquire the sefer: “…U’zechuso yagein ba’adam ki yisbarachu b’gufam u’v’me’odam…” — a brachas tzaddik extending to all who bring this sefer into their homes!
