Shalsheles Sanz — First Time at Auction Autograph ksav yad Letter of R’ Shmelke Halberstam of Dukla — With a Berachah of Hatzlachah An autograph letter dealing with monetary matters and payment of bills of exchange entirely in the ksav yad and bearing the signature of R’ Shmelke Halberstam ZT”l of Dukla. Written on Yom Hei, Parshas Shiras HaYam , to  hanagid he’chassid R’ Avraham Chaim Frenkel Z”l of Limanov. The letter is written on a postcard, and the postal stamp shows that it was sent from the city of Sanz. R’ Shmelke of Dukla R’ Shmuel Shmelke Halberstam of Dukla was the bechor son of R’ Aharon, Av Beis Din of Kreyz-Sanz, son and successor of Maran the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. He was also a son-in-law of R’ Kalonymus Kalman, son of the Guter Yid of Neustadt ZY”A. To the best of our knowledge, letters from him have not previously appeared at auction! The Recipient The recipient, R’ Avraham Chaim Frenkel of Limanov, was a grandson of the Rebbe of Ropshitz and among the prominent chassidim of the Rebbe of Shinova.
