“Levasreni Besuros Tovos” — Letter of R’ Asher Meir Halberstam of Bochnia ZT”l — Yekar Metzius! An autograph letter of berachos and tefillos, entirely in his ksav yad. Written on Yom Rishon, Parshas Vayakhel 1908, to the chassid hanagid R’ Avraham Chaim Frenkel Z”l of Limanov. He acknowledges receipt of the request and writes: “Va’ani tefillah, u’mechakeh l’ezras Hashem Yisborach, l’maan kevod Shemo Yisbarach, v’chein yehi ratzon levasreni besuros tovos.” R’ Asher Meir of Bochnia R’ Asher Meir Halberstam ( 1858–1935) was a son of R’ Yosef Zev Halberstam, the furst son of R’ Dovid of Kshanov, son of Maran the Divrei Chaim of Sanz ZY”A. He was thus the first great-grandson of the Divrei Chaim. At his birth, the Divrei Chaim remarked that his eyes shone like those of R’ Meir of Premishlan, and he was named after  him. Already in his youth he learned Kabbalah with his zeide, the Divrei Chaim. In 1876 he was appointed by his zeide as Rav of Alt-Sanz, and in 1883 became Av Beis Din of Bochnia. His avodah was with great hislahavus, and many chassidim and anshei maaseh gathered around him.
