Shalsheles Shinova — “Tinatzlu Kulchem Mikol Ra” Letter of R’ Naftali Rabin, Av Beis Din of Vishnitza — 1921 An autograph ksav yad letter filled with words of plea and request for assistance, written by the gaon ha’tzaddik R’ Naftali Rabin, Av Beis Din of Vishnitza. He describes his pressing financial state as he stands before the chasunah of his son, R’ Yonah, with expenses far beyond his ability, and asks R’ Hersh Steinmetz to arouse the hearts of nedivei lev on his behalf. Written in Vishnitza, 1921. He concludes with heartfelt berachos: “…Tinatzlu kulchem mikol ra chas v’shalom, v’tizku l’rav berachos v’yeshuos tovos… mevarech’cha b’chol mili d’meitav…” R’ Naftali Rabin of Vishnitza R’ Naftali Rabin ZT”l (niftar 1938) was the son-in-law of the Rebbe of Shinova. His father, R’ Shmuel Rabin, Av Beis Din of Kratchin, was a close talmid of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. For several years he was supported at the table of his great father-in-law. In 1889 he was appointed Av Beis Din of Kalvaria, and in 1899 became Av Beis Din of Vishnitza, succeeding R’ Shlomo Halberstam of Bobov, who had then moved to serve as Rav in Bobov. He served there for forty-two years, until his petirah.
