This appears to be Rabbeinu's personal copy , preserved with his own additions and revisions. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • The Saba Kadisha lived for more than 104 years , serving as Rav of Constantinople and Damascus, later as Av Beis Din of Tzfas, and in his final years in Yerushalayim. In his youth he corresponded with Rabbi Akiva Eiger , and the Minchas Elazar of Munkacs declared that he was the Mashiach ben Yosef of his generation. The Minchas Elazar further extolled him in extraordinary terms: ”..רבינו הגדול האי סבא קדישא, נהורא נפישא, זקן הרבנים, גאון הגאונים, סיני ועוקר הרים, שר התורה, חד בדרא, מי כמוהו מורה, צדיק יסוד עולם איש אלקים קדוש למאוד נעלה, לו דומי' תהלה.. כמהר”ר שלמה אליעזר אלפאנדרי זצללה”ה זי”ע ..” A rare opportunity to acquire an unpublished halachic teshuvah in the handwriting of one of the greatest geonim and tzaddikim of the last generations.
