Letter of Appeal and Warm Brochos from the Gaon Hakadosh, Baal Toras Yekusiel of Dieresh ZT”L, Autograph letter in Yiddish, entirely in the ksav yad kodsho and bearing the signature of the gaon hakadosh Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah Rosenberger of Dieresh ZT”L. Written on Tuesday of Parshas Shemos, 1936, and addressed to his uncle, Reb Yaakov Koppel Friedman a”h, apparently then residing in America. In the letter, Rabbeinu describes his difficult circumstances and appeals for meaningful financial assistance. The letter concludes with heartfelt brochos: ”I wish you much hatzlochoh and happiness, and success in all your endeavors... From your dear nephew, who wishes you abundant blessing and happiness. Hakatan, Zalman Leib Rosenberger, Rav of the Kehillah of Dieresh.” It is noteworthy that Rabbeinu signed this letter in Yiddish as ”Zalman Leib Rosenberger, ” rather than with the Hebrew form of his name, ”Yekusiel Yehudah, ” which he ordinarily used when signing his correspondence.
