”May He Be Zocheh to See Much Nachas and a Dor Yesharim Mevorach” – Warm Brachos from the Chakal Yitzchak of Spinka ZY”A Warm autograph letter filled with heartfelt brachos from Hagaon HaKadosh Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik Weiss, the Chakal Yitzchak of Spinka, written on Wednesday, Parshas Beshalach, 1925, to one of his devoted chassidim, the distinguished chossid Reb Meir ben Perel, on the occasion of his son's upcoming wedding. The Rebbe concludes the letter with his heartfelt brachos: ”והנני בזה לברכו ברכת מז”ט, שהשי”ת יעזרהו שהחופה תהי' בשטו”מ וזווגם יעלה יפה, ויזכה לראות נחת מהם ומכל יו”ח ויצמח מהם דור ישרים ומבורך, בנים ובנ”ב עוסקים בתורה ובמצות, כאשר עם לבבו הטוב...” ”May the chuppah take place b'sha'ah tovah u'mutzlachas, may the marriage be blessed with success, and may he be zocheh to see much nachas from them and from all his descendants. May there grow from them a dor yesharim u'mevorach —children and grandchildren engaged in Torah and mitzvos.” • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • A noteworthy feature of the letter is the Rebbe's own corrections to the honorifics. Originally, the recipient was addressed as ”HaRav HaGaon, ” but the word gaon was crossed out and replaced with tzaddik, changing the title to ”HaRav HaTzaddik.” Likewise, the customary נ”י following his name was crossed out and replaced in the Rebbe's hand with שליט”א.
