The Minchas Elazar of Munkatch ZYA”A - Brochos for Refuah and Nachas in His Ksav Yad Kodsho Postcard containing nine lines in the ksav yad kodsho of the heilige Minchas Elazar of Munkatch ZYA”A, filled with heartfelt brochos for refuah and nachas, bearing his signature as well as his stamp in secular script. Addressed to the chossid Reb Eliezer Ballag of Switzerland. On the reverse appears an additional message of brochoh written at the direction of the Rebbe by the renowned meshamesh b'kodesh of Munkatch, Reb Chaim Ber Greenfeld z”l. It would appear that the meshamesh initially responded on the Rebbe's behalf, after which the Minchas Elazar himself decided to add a personal message in his own hand. The letter reads: ”I extend greetings of peace to my beloved friend and bless him with a complete refuah from Heaven, with health of body, nachas, and every goodness forever, until the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu bimheiroh b'yomeinu. Regarding the previous letter, I have already replied, and I trust that my response has reached him. I hope to hear good news soon, together with all of Klal Yisroel. Chaim Elazar Shapira.” Part of the message penned by Reb Chaim Ber Greenfeld states: ”...I have been instructed by His holy honor to reply with affection and to convey that he is davening and pleading on his behalf, that the Borei Refuos should send him a complete refuah speedily from Heaven upon all his limbs, and that he should soon be able to share good tidings with us, together with all of Klal Yisroel...”
