The Car Sent by the Satmar Rebbe to Rescue Jewish Souls in Eretz Yisroel – Autograph Letter of Rabbi Amram Blau – 1964 Autograph letter, written entirely in the ksav yad of Rabbi Amram Blau, dated January 1964 , describing the remarkable efforts of the Sephardic Eidah HaChareidis , under the leadership of Rabbi Yaakov Mutzafi, to save thousands of newly arrived immigrant children from religious assimilation. The Car Purchased by the Satmar Rebbe Rabbi Amram recounts the Satmar Rebbe's extraordinary support for this lifesaving campaign, writing that the Rebbe personally financed the purchase of the very first automobile used by the activists and speakers to travel from camp to camp, bringing Torah education to the immigrant families and rescuing countless children from secularization. He explains that the original vehicle could no longer meet the growing demands of the work, and that even the additional automobile acquired by the Sephardic Eidah HaChareidis had become insufficient. He therefore turns once again to the Satmar Rebbe, requesting his continued assistance in expanding these vital rescue efforts. Rabbi Amram concludes with heartfelt brachos: ”May the Rebbe be blessed with every good, and may we all merit, with the Rebbe at our head, to greet Mashiach Tzidkeinu speedily in our days.” ”With the prayer and blessing of his talmid, who clings to the dust of his feet, Amram bar Rabbi Shlomo Yehudah Blau.”
