Chassidus – First Edition – Arvei Nachal – Sudilkov, 1825–1826 Arvei Nachal, two volumes on the Torah according to the teachings of Chassidus, by Rabbi Dovid Shlomo Eibeschitz , author of Levushei Serad . First edition . Sudilkov, 1825–1826. The volumes bear ownership inscriptions of Rabbi Yitzchak Leib Groisberg of Trestina, author of Shai LaMorah on Maseches Bechoros (Warsaw, 1876). His sefer received approbations from the Beis HaLevi and the Oneg Yom Tov. He is also known to have been the chavrusa of the Or Sameach. As a child he received a brachah from Rabbi Akiva Eiger, who, out of particular affection for him, would honor him with gelilah in his beis medrash in Posen. The Cheshek Shlomo also cites a Torah thought in his name. Little is known about Rabbi Yitzchak Leib Groisberg. It is evident, however, from the approbations to his sefer that he did not belong to the Chassidic community. Nevertheless, this demonstrates that he studied the classic sefarim of Chassidus. For confirmation that this is the first edition, see Ohel Rachel, vol. I, pp. 372–373.
