Chiddushei Rabbeinu Chaim HaLevi with Autograph Glosses of the Pnei Menachem of Gur-  Brisk and Gur – Two Worlds of Torah in One Volume! Chiddushei Rabbeinu Chaim HaLevi on the Rambam by Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik of Brisk. This copy is filled with lengthy and significant autograph glosses by Maran Hagaon Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter, the Pnei Menachem of Gur. On the title page appears his autograph ownership inscription: ”... חנני השי”ת [ולאחר זמן הוסיף: ברוב טובו וחסדיו] פנחס מנחם אלתר מפעיה”ק ירושלים תובב”א י”ב מנ”א תשי”ג...” The future Rebbe acquired this volume while still in his youth, at just twenty-seven years of age! Throughout his glosses, he discusses the chiddushim of the Brisker Rav, referring to him with reverence as ”Rabbeinu z”ל.” Some of these glosses were later printed in Shulei HaGilyon; however, comparison with the printed edition indicates that apparently not all of the glosses found in this volume were published. An exceptional volume reflecting the meeting of the Brisk and Gur derech halimud, preserving important Torah from the Pnei Menachem, including unpublished glosses in his ksav yad.
