”The Ya'avetz Foretold the Spiritual State of Our Generation” – Autograph Letter of the Satmar Rebbe to the Eidah HaChareidis – 1950 Autograph letter, written entirely in the ksav yad of the Satmar Rebbe, with his autograph signature, addressed to the Eidah HaChareidis , dated Thursday, Parshas Shemini, 1950. A powerful letter of chizuk concerning the spiritual state of the generation and the foundations of emunah. The Rebbe calls attention to the words of the Ya'avetz in Migdol Oz : ”...for he foresaw the condition of our generation, through Ruach HaKodesh.” These very words were later reproduced by the Rebbe at the end of his sefer Al HaGeulah Ve'al HaTemurah. The Rebbe continues: ”I had already arrived at all of this through my own reasoning, upon seeing the state of the generation... and it is evident to anyone with eyes to see from the words of Chazal and the Rishonim.” He concludes with his heartfelt brachah: ”May Hashem have mercy upon us and enlighten our eyes with the light of His holy Torah... may we soon merit to behold the joy of Tzion and Yerushalayim.. . and may we yet merit to eat from the Korbanos and the Korban Pesach, and celebrate the Yom Tov of Pesach in kashrus and simchah.”— HaKatan, Yoel Teitelbaum
