Two pairs, one horizontal and one vertical, in a registered letter circulated from Lisbon (February 23, 1917) to Vevey / Switzerland (March 4, 1917) to pay the first postage (5c) for a letter abroad weighing up to 20g and the registration fee (5c), according to the postage table published in the Official Gazette No. 4 of January 5, 2005, converted to the new republican currency. Doubly censored in Portugal and France.
