Bidspirit auction | Marigold Carnival Glass Footed Bowl
Marigold Carnival Glass Footed Bowl in the Iris Pattern - This tri-footed bowl is a specimen of American carnival glass, featuring a marigold iridescent finish that exhibits varied lusters of gold, pink, and blue. The interior surface is decorated with a pressed pattern known as Iris, consisting of three large floral blooms with elongated leaves emanating from a central circular stippled medallion. The exterior of the bowl displays a series of scrolling medallions and stylized elements. The vessel is constructed with a ruffled, sawtooth rim and rests on three scroll-style feet. This design and form are attributed to the Dugan Glass Company, produced approximately between 1910 and 1915. No maker marks are molded into the glass. A contemporary paper auction tag from Atlee Raber Auctions is attached to one foot.
