SixGlass Hen on Nest Covered Dishes - sixglass hen on nest covered dishes of various sizes, colors, and patterns. This assortment includes two large dishes and four small individual-sized dishes. One large dish is constructed from iridescent pink glass with a carnival finish, featuring a textured hen-form lid and a basketweave patterned base. The second large dish is made of translucent smoke gray glass, also with a textured lid and basketweave base; the interior bottom of the base is embossed with the Imperial Glass Company logo (a vertical line intersected by a curved G). The small dishes include one opaque mint green glass hen with a scalloped rim base. Three additional small dishes in translucent cobalt blue, golden amber, and light green glass feature textured lids and diamond-quilted patterned bases. These items were typically used as salt cellars, trinket boxes, or candy dishes. All pieces consist of a separate lid and nesting base.
