1946 Sunoco Mercury Made Two Gallon Motor Oil Can - This is atwo-gallon motor oil can produced for the Sun Oil Company, featuring a printed copyright date of 1946 on the front lower right. The rectangular container is constructed of lithographed tin and finished in the company's signature blue and yellow color scheme. The front face displays a central yellow horizontal band with the SUNOCO brand name in large blue block lettering. Above this, the text indicates a capacity of TWO U.S. GALLONS. Below the brand name, the oil is identified as Mercury Made MOTOR OIL in script and block fonts.
