Brass Harness Sleigh Bells - 44 inches long. A set of antique brass horse harness sleigh bells mounted on a heavy black leather strap. The assembly consists of open-mouth brass or bronze bells in a graduated size range, each featuring an internal clapper. These are interspersed with spherical crotal rumbler bells decorated with incised patterns. The leather strap is fitted with a metal buckle and a looped end handle. Designed for use on horse hames or buggy shafts, the bells demonstrate cast metal construction. No maker marks or patent information is visible on the exterior surfaces.
