Ernest Muehlmatt American Woodcock Figurine, 1983 - This hand-painted figurine depicts an American Woodcock in a perched position upon a naturalistic base modeled to resemble a weathered log. The bird features realistic anatomical details including a long, tapered bill and large, dark eyes. The plumage is painted with a variety of brown, tan, and charcoal tones to mimic the bird's natural camouflage.
