A Pair of Glazed Earthenware Covered Pie Dishes - A pair of decorative glazed earthenware covered pie dishes. Each set consists of a circular base dish with a deep mustard yellow glaze and a fluted, crimped rim, paired with a highly dimensional, domed lid modeled after a fruit pie. One lid depicts a lattice-crust blueberry pie, featuring a central cluster of three blueberries with green leaves and additional blueberry and berry-juice motifs within the lattice openings. The second lid depicts a lattice-crust apple pie with a whole red apple finial and painted apple slice motifs within the lattice. The decoration is achieved through molded relief and hand-applied colorful glazes. The undersides of the bases feature two concentric unglazed foot rings. No maker marks, stamps, or incised signatures are visible. One base retains a small, blank white oval sticker in the center.
