Attributed Westside Model Co. B&O Q-4b Mikado Set - A three-piece HO scale model steam locomotive set attributed to importer Westside Model Co. and modeled after the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Q-4b Mikado. The set includes a 2-8-2 Mikado type steam locomotive, a primary Vanderbilt-style tender, and a cylindrical auxiliary water tender. Each piece is constructed from fabricated and cast brass with an unpainted factory finish. The locomotive features a pilot truck, four sets of driving wheels, and a trailing truck, along with detailed external piping, handrails, rivets, sand domes, a bell, and a whistle. The primary tender features a cylindrical tank design with a simulated coal load and a rear ladder. The auxiliary tender is a large cylindrical tank unit with top-mounted walkways and handrails. The truck side frames on the tenders are cast with a mark consisting of a stylized capital letter M within a square frame. The set is presented on a section of model track within a custom clear acrylic display case with a dark wood-grain finished base.
