Lionel 8210 Centennial Steam Locomotive & Tender - Lionel Limited Edition Joshua Lionel Cowen Centennial Steam Locomotive and Tender, model number 8210, issued in 1982 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Lionel founder Joshua Lionel Cowen. The set features a 4-6-4 Hudson-style steam locomotive and a matching coal tender. The locomotive body is constructed of die-cast metal with a black chassis and a gold-toned boiler front featuring green jeweled marker lights. The cab sides are marked with the model number 8210 in gold-tone lettering. The locomotive features white-sidewall driver wheels and a metal handrail. The matching tender is finished in maroon with gold-tone pinstriping and an applied nameplate on both sides reading Joshua Lionel Cowen. The tender includes a simulated coal load and a multi-wheel chassis. The set is presented as a stationary display on a section of three-rail O-gauge track mounted to a finished wooden display base. A brass-tone commemorative plaque on the front of the base is inscribed Limited Edition JOSHUA LIONEL COWEN 1882-1982. The display includes a custom-fit clear acrylic dust cover. An electrical wiring harness for the locomotive-to-tender connection is present.
