Salmon Falls Blueberry Basket Salt-Glazed Oil Lamp - A salt-glazed stoneware oil lamp manufactured by Salmon Falls Stoneware of Dover, New Hampshire. The lamp base is constructed in a jug form featuring a hand-applied finger-loop handle that terminates in decorative clay scrolls. The front of the vessel is decorated with a hand-painted cobalt blue slip design depicting a basket overflowing with berries and foliage. The stoneware body displays a characteristic salt-glaze orange peel texture. The unit is fitted with a brass prong-gallery burner and a clear glass chimney. The lower edge of the stoneware base is impressed with an oval stamp containing the text SALMON FALLS 2000 STONEWARE and an adjacent kiln-shaped mark.
