Radio Shack French Continental Rotary Telephone - This is a vintage-style French cradle rotary telephone manufactured for Radio Shack, a division of Tandy Corp. The telephone features a cast metal body decorated with ornate floral and foliate scrollwork in a brushed silver-tone finish. The base, handset handle, and dial surround are constructed of cream-colored plastic. The rotary dial includes a central decorative medallion depicting a couple in 18th-century period dress. The handset is connected to the base by a matching cream-colored coiled plastic cord and rests on a metal cradle. The underside of the base includes a manufacturer label identifying it as the French Continental model, No. 43-320, custom manufactured in Singapore for Radio Shack. A gray modular line cord is attached.
