Marshall Pottery Attr. Cobalt Salt-Glaze Pitcher - This salt-glazed stoneware pitcher features a bulbous body with a wide flared neck, a pinched pouring spout, and an applied loop handle. The vessel is finished in an off-white glaze with fine dark iron speckling. It is decorated with horizontal cobalt blue bands, including a single band encircling the neck and a double band around the lower body. Molded relief decoration in a stylized foliate or scalloped pattern is located both above and below the blue-banded sections. The pitcher sits on a slightly recessed circular foot. While visually consistent with late 19th to early 20th-century utility ware from Marshall Pottery, no permanent maker marks or stamps are visible on the piece. Current identifiers include a green sticker marked 48 on the neck and a handwritten inventory label reading TH 310 B8 / Pitcher / 165 00 (c).
