Hand-Appliqued & Quilted Apple Motif Quilt Top - A hand-pieced fabric panel or quilt top featuring six rectangular white cotton blocks. Each block contains a centrally applied apple motif rendered in alternating red and burgundy checkered fabrics. The apples are finished with green and black checkered fabric leaves and stems. The blocks are joined by a coordinating green and black checkered sashing. Hand-quilted running stitches are visible along the sashing and borders. The apple appliqu?s are finished with a machine-worked overcast edge stitch. The reverse side shows the hand-quilting stitches and the construction of the sashing. No maker's marks, labels, or signatures are present.
