Battey Publishing Co., 1886. This large quarto volume is bound in publisher's half-leather over brown pebble-grained cloth boards. The front cover and spine are decorated with elaborate gilt-stamped titles and ornate flourishes. The spine features five raised bands creating compartments decorated with gilt floral motifs. The text is divided into sections covering general, special, township, and borough histories, followed by an appended biographical department. The volume is illustrated with numerous plates, including oval-framed portraits of John L. Mayer and John Gardner Campbell with their facsimile signatures.
