Sears, Roebuck & Co. Ranger Air Rifle Shot Crate - This is a vintage wooden shipping crate produced for Sears, Roebuck and Co. to distribute Ranger brand air rifle shot. The crate is constructed of wood panels joined with metal nails. The front panel features black stenciled lettering reading AIR RIFLE SHOT, SEARS, ROEBUCK and CO., CHICAGO, ILL. One side panel is stenciled with 25 1 LB. BAGS above a large, bold RANGER, followed by THE PERFECT and AIR RIFLE SHOT in smaller type. The underside of the crate retains a partial paper shipping label from the Sears, Roebuck and Co. Atlanta, Georgia location. Legible text on the label includes CONTENTS, MERCHANDISE?FOURTH CLASS and the number 832274. The crate has an open top and a rectangular form.
