A Collection of Longaberger Handwoven Maple Wood Splint Baskets - A collection of various handwoven maple wood splint baskets produced by Longaberger of Dresden, Ohio, dating from the late 1980s through the early 2000s. The group features several forms and commemorative editions, including a large rectangular basket with green-stained splint accents, leather handles, a floral fabric liner, and a clear plastic protector. Commemorative pieces include a 2000 Century Celebration Collectors Club oval basket with a two-part wood lid and star-motif knob; a small 2002 Hostess Appreciation oval basket with a brass-tone nameplate and wood lid; and a 1998 American Cancer Society upright basket with a pink striped liner. Additionally, the lot contains two long, narrow tray-style baskets dated 1989 and 1990. Each item bears a stamped maker mark reading LONGABERGER BASKETS HANDWOVEN DRESDEN, OHIO USA on the base, accompanied by hand-inscribed weaver initials and dates. Many baskets retain their original tailored fabric liners and clear plastic interior protectors.
