Pair Dazey Churn & Mfg. Co. Glass Butter Churns - This lot consists of a pair of hand-crank butter churns manufactured by the Dazey Churn and Mfg. Co. of St. Louis, Missouri. Each unit features a square-form glass jar with embossed text including DAZEY CHURN AND MFG CO, ST. LOUIS MO, MADE IN U.S.A., and PAT APP FOR. The mechanical assembly is constructed of cast iron, consisting of a frame that houses a large gear wheel connected to a hand crank with a turned wooden handle. This gear drives a secondary pinion connected to a vertical metal shaft that operates internal wooden paddles. The mechanical tops are secured to the glass jars via threaded metal collars. One jar includes a paper tag from a previous auction sale.
